Just a few updates (:
1. Facebook Photos:
I’ve received much feedback that you guys would like to have photos accessible at Facebook. Due to technical constraints, I regret to say it’ll be rather difficult for me to upload my photos to the Hall 3 Residence page quickly and effortlessly.
However a work around with regard to getting facebook photos up quickly has been implemented (: You can access all Hall 3 photos for Events/IHG at the following profile:
http://www.facebook.com/Hall3Pubs?sk=photos
Also click “subscribe” to the Hallthree Pubs profile to be kept updated whenever new albums are published. You are encouraged to tag your friends in hall for the Facebook photos. Tags may take a bit of time to approve though.
2. Flickr Photos
Some people have asked about how to download photos for various IHG events etc. Flickr allows me to upload high resolution copies of the photos can be easily downloaded by any of the residents. However for the not so technically inclined, I’ve posted a quick step by step instruction on how to download the photos
Firstly – the link to the flickr page(if you don’t already know where it is):

It’ll look something like this (without the red instruction tooltips)
(a) Navigate to the desired photo page – it should look something like this:
(b) Select Actions
(c) Select View all sizes – you should see something like this:
(d) Select desired size – Large size should be good enough for desktop wallpaper. Original can be quite big – good enough to print large format banners
(e) Click Download
With regard to batch downloading , I will usually add the batch download link as part of the set description (for IHG by week). However due to constraints of time – I haven’t got time to do up the set descriptions. So if you want to download the entire album, drop me a text/FB message/email – I’ll pass you the link.

Do go down and support our sports and rec players as they play against different Halls.
Anyway here’s an update on how HO coverage will be done – so you guys wont miss out on the action (:
Daily Reports:
The Publications Sub Committee will be coming out with daily reports.
I.e. If there’s a match on 22dec – you’ll probably see it up latest by the 24 December morning.
These will be published on various platforms:
FH3 Online – webx.ntu.edu.sg/hall3/fh3/ (will be made available first)
Printed Reports on the notice boards
Joint Hall Olympiad Website – clubs.ntu.edu.sg/hallolympiad
The overview for each report will also be published on the Hall 3 Facebook – with a link to the full report on FH3
Photography:
Photos for HO will be compiled minimally on a weekly basis. If time permits, they will be compiled twice a week.
Photography will be published on these platforms:
Hall3 Flickr – flickr.com/hall3pubs (will be made available first)
Hall3 Facebook (As time permits – I can no longer automatically synchronise photos from Flickr to FB fanpages due to a bug on FB’s side)

An update:
So far I have had quite a bit of difficulty syncing the photos over from Flickr to Facebook due to some changes in the Facebook API(besides those annoying changes in layout Facebook has all the time, they also keep changing a lot of other stuff which affects how other applications communicate with Facebook.)
Currently now I can upload directly from my photo management app directly to flickr – but not to the Hall 3 Fan Page.
Alternatively I could manually upload the photos via the web browser. However the size/quantity of the photos I have to upload would mean it will take quite a while (besides being very tedious as I have to convert the photos to a format Facebook can read before I upload them).
I will try and see if I can work out a solution to this issue ASAP. In the meantime I seek your understanding. If you wish to view the photos, you still can still visit the Flickr Gallery.
FH3 online is almost ready (: it will be launched when FH3 Print issue 1 is released

Inter Block Games – Galaga (Street Soccer) (AY11/12), a set on Flickr.

The Hall 3 Inter Block Games (Galaga) was held on the 8th of September 2011 at the Hall2 Street Soccer Court
Participants rom the various block were pitted against each other in street soccer matches, where they demonstrated their teamwork and skill through the games.

The Hall 3 Freshman Orientation Camp’s Angel Mortal Revelation was held on 7th Sept 2011, at the courtyard
Freshies from the FOCs got to know their assigned angel. Prizes were also given out for the 3 best male/female angels.
